Did you just see that?

I am posting this video for two reasons: 1) get that queer Duve Day crap off the top of the blog; and 2) to inspire discussion of the embedded video.

This is the next to final play in the 5A Texas high school playoff game at Texas Stadium between the Allen Eagles in white and the Euless Trinity Trojans in black. See if you can spot the problem here and please discuss.

Watched the video 3X:

The biggest problem I have is that the offense isn't set when the ball is snapped, which should be a penalty.

Also, at the end of the play, a black defender hits one of the white offensive players in the back after the play is over, which should have been flagged as a late hit.

Also, it seems like the right tackle holds on the defensive end on his side as the RB turns the corner, but its hard to tell.

On the positive side, there are 11 guys on both teams and the play appears to have gotten off before the play clock expired.

I'm probably missing something big here though.

Got it - the black Linebacker just decks the ref off the whistle for no reason - nice!!

Safety, not a linebacker (5th times a charm). I don't think it was intentional though. The safety bit hard on the zone read and thought the QB might keep.

No, it was completely intentional. A starting safety on a 13-0 team (that was ranked #1 in the country) this deep in the playoffs doesn't make that mistake.

Watch the video, the kid is zeroed in on the ref from the get-go. There was no misdirection from the offense or anything.

I have to agree that the offense was not set, not even close

The safety also could have made the tackle, so the offense wouldn't pick up 40 yards if he's not locked on the umpire.
