1) I'm jealous. I've had some good baseball memories in Las Vegas and it would be nice to get a few more during the winter meetings. If the powers that be in the BD Sports Nation ever wish to send a reporter on assignment to Las Vegas, just let me know.

they probably did show up, O'Dowd probably has a table setup in front of the convention hall trying to sell off anyone good on the team.
I love this line, "General manager Dan O'Dowd has stated that the team needs to find starting pitching that can help now from outside the organization" which I think is great because that worked well in the past with Nagel and Hampton and using home grown pitchers to get to the World Series must have been a fluke.
